When will I know where I am working?🧑💼
Your Program State allocation will be confirmed within a month of arrival in Australia. Your individual site locations will be confirmed on arrival, if not earlier.Can I choose my workplace location? 🌊
Throughout the program, we will do our best to accommodate your preferences, however your workplace location will be allocated based on your experience, skills, roles available and the business needs of each site.
We also have many opportunities to travel for work, helping with opening new sites and training staff.
Will I work on weekends?🫶
The Recreation industry runs 7 days a week, so your shifts will be allocated between Monday – Sunday. Please note, we will allocate you 2 days off per week, to ensure you have time to explore Australia.Can I work extra hours? 💰
Yes! In our work readiness workshop you will learn how to use our user friendly rostering system, allowing you to see your shifts, take extra shifts and update your availability as you go.
Can I take a holiday during this program? 🏖️
This program is designed to allow you an easy and care-free way to jump straight into work and earn some money for your future travels. As a program participant, BlueFit does expect that no more than 10 days of unavailability will be taken within each 6 month period. Please remember you will also be allocated days off
